Who should take this course?  This comprehensive course has been created to give you the knowledge to help a baby, child or adult with both minor and major first aid incidents as well as giving advice on how to manage a range of common illnesses and conditions.  Suitable for anyone that cares for, works with or has contact with babies or children. 

Verifiable CPD points: On successful completion, learners can download a CPD accredited certificate as evidence for their portfolio of CPD training and will qualify for 2 CPD points. 

Course content: 

• Assessing an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take 

• Understanding the importance of PPE and Infection Control 
• Child, baby and adult treatments
• Unresponsive and breathing normally
• Unresponsive and not breathing normally 
• Seizures and febrile convulsion 
• Choking 
• Heart attack, angina attack or stroke 
• Bleeding 
• Shock 
• Anaphylactic shock 
• Burns and scalds 
• Suspected fracture 
• Head injury 
• Foreign body in eyes, ears or nose 
• Eye injury 
• Bite or sting
